. . . it doesn’t sound like it either. Film noir’s thick style inspired us, me (editor), Tony (DP, colorista) and Paul (sweetening, foley) to lay down a heavy hand. The foley includes inspiration from Kabuki, the mood, German Expressionism as meets the snappy funk of digital FX . All on half-a-shoe-string budget . . . it broke when we tied our shoe like noir when noir didn’t even know it was, holding on to the motto just “b.”
